Review of My setup. AV Able and 528 Custom Vapes Goon RDA

Good day, friends! Today I would like to tell you about the liquid… No, not about the liquid.

I would like to share my emotions and impressions from owning two wonderful devices that I now use on a daily basis. And if specifically, then we will talk about the mechanical mod AV Able and the dripper 528 Custom Vapes Goon RDA.

Some people wrote me this question: “Why do you try all the liquids for reviews?” Recently I have been using only this combination and am very happy with it. This article will not be in the format of a review, but rather just some information about everyday use.

So, let’s start with a little background. Why a mech mod? Many vapers have asked me this question. And believe me, I can’t find the exact answer. It’s something internal, something that sinks into the soul and doesn’t let go. australian vape Of course, you can name the main criteria – linearity (if we talk about the voltage supply from the battery), practicality, ease of use (for some it’s different – for me personally it’s easier, the main thing is to turn on your brain), aesthetics (a mech mod is a classic of the genre, no matter how you look at it), and a hint of oldschool, or something… But all these are just basic theses, however, everything secret and intimate is hidden inside, causing pleasant emotions.

If we take the evolution of owning mech mods, then I cannot boast of any impressive achievements. To date, this is the 4th original device that I have owned (before that, there was Light House, Sub Ohm Innovations Subzero Shorty, GetLowMods V1). However, I admit, I got hooked…

So, let’s get down to the bundle. And, perhaps, let’s start from the top.

I am currently using the 528 Custom Vapes Goon RDA. I have the copper version with a diameter of 24 mm. There are already a lot of reviews of this RDA on the Internet, but I have something to tell you in terms of use.

As you know, this RDA has already been recognized by the vape community as the most progressive and sensational RDA of 2016. And yes, it’s hard to disagree with this. The guys have truly created an innovative product, using an interesting system for installing coils. I admit, at first I looked askance at such a base. After purchasing it, I thought that I had made a mistake in choosing it, as it seemed that installing coils in it was quite difficult (before it, I used the Buddha Mini dripper from VaperzCloud – everything is simple and standard in it, the system is like the Twisted Messes). However, literally 1-2 times of practice to get used to it – and everything turned out to be really simple. The design with the use of pressure plates showed itself from the excellent side. There is a lot of space in the dripper, and even if you like huge fat coils or wind long “sausages” for high-voltage – you will not feel any discomfort. You need to be very careful with the screws, do not overtighten them – you risk licking the cap or damaging the inner part of the pressure plate.

Now let’s move on. As for the tray, its capacity pleases. If you lay the cotton wool correctly, you won’t have to bury the dripper too often. The airflow is good. 3 large holes on each side – you won’t experience discomfort or lack of air (there is an option to use the dripper in 1-coil mode, but this is not the same – you won’t reveal the full potential).

I would like to talk separately about the top of the dripper, namely the drip-tip. Here is a small complaint. The wide bore drip-tip is supplied only in the black version of our RDA, which is very sad. It is unclear why all versions are not equipped with it. But, of course, I found a way out of this situation. Together with the dripper, I bought a chuff cap called Chubby from District F5VE. It is universal and will fit any dripper with a diameter of 24 mm. It fits perfectly on the Goon RDA. You will definitely not encounter a lack of air. But there is one thing. With Chubby you forget about adjusting the airflow forever, that is, you always have all 6 holes in the dome open. Whether this is good or not is up to you, personally I got used to it literally in a day, it all depends on your winding.

As for changes “for yourself”. Here are the following options. Drip tips – a huge number of different diameters. Chaff caps – fewer, but there is also a choice. Skirts – aluminum, different colors to suit your taste and fantasy (for example, I additionally bought a red one). Therefore, buying this dripper, you can be sure that you will create a unique design that will bring daily pleasure.

AV Able

Now let’s look at what I screw the dripper on. Namely, we will talk about the AV Able mechanical mod.

Friends, this is actually a work of art! It attracts with its forms, its design, its character. And of course, with the way it fries! I am not a supporter of all sorts of tests for “drawdowns” – this is all very relative, everyone does these tests in their own way. I will only say one thing – this mechanical mod is recognized by many users around the globe as one of the most successful. I think this says something.

Let’s get to the point. It is noteworthy that this device was designed and created by the famous Eric Hutchinson, who, in turn, just recently was a designer and designer of the Avid Lyfe company. Now he and his team have organized their own business and, I think, will surprise us very soon with the next bestsellers.

Summary

Well, friends, it’s time to sum up and draw conclusions from all of the above. And the conclusion is simple – all of this is strictly individual. Choosing a mechanical mod is a very scrupulous task and requires a thorough approach. Of course, all of this is not particularly cheap, but believe me – it’s worth it!
