Many reviewers have called the Druga Foxy box mod from the famous Chinese manufacturer Augvape one of the most interesting devices released last year. Today I will tell you about my experience with this device.

The device comes into the buyer’s hands in a black square box with a small window through which the box mod, or rather its side panel, is visible. On the front side you can find the familiar logo of two crossed D’s and the name Druga Foxy, on the back there are two stickers: one with an originality check (you can enter it at the very bottom of any page of the Augvape website in the Security Code field), the second with the name of the device design. There are no characteristics or a list of contents here, but there is the manufacturer’s address and a hell of a lot of different icons.

The box, which is three times larger than the device, does not impress with the richness of its contents; in addition to the mod itself, you can only find an English-language manual with illustrations and a card with various tips on the batteries used. The mod in the box is sealed with protective films; in my case, it is clearly visible that they were removed and glued back at least a couple of times. Some kind of cloth would not hurt here to wipe the dirty panels.
The outer side of the device deserves only praise. buy vape mods australia Straight, strict, but at the same time not a brick at all, rounded edges, but not to the point of resemblance to a bar of soap. The copy that fell into my hands has a gray, rough and pleasant to the touch surface and cools the palm with metal. The weight of the box is quite impressive, without batteries it is more than two hundred grams, and with cans already over three hundred. There is a definite sense of reliability here! The assembly is high-quality, the panels sit tightly in their places, and due to the framing frames, a small play in one of them in the hand is absolutely unnoticeable.
One of the features of the device is the control buttons and screen that are missing from the visible surfaces. Of course, they are here, but you won’t be able to find them right away. As expected, the plastic mirror panels quickly become covered with fingerprints, but after a few days of careful use, no noticeable scratches appeared. In any case, the manufacturer promises us the opportunity to purchase them separately to our taste.
At the time of launch, the box mod was available in only two versions: Black (now it is designated as Gun Metal on the website, and it was with this marking that it arrived to me) and Stainless Steel (also changed – Silver). The main difference lies in the body coating, in silver it is glossy (and easily soiled), in black it is gray and matte. The panels are also different, the pattern on the steel box is brighter and the Druga logo is silver, while on mine the pattern is barely noticeable, and the logo is already golden.

They promise that there will also be replaceable panels with various prints on sale, in addition to those shown above, the guys from Augvape have announced other options. The plastic is made by casting using IML technology, in short – the image is under a layer of plastic, i.e. it is not at risk of damage.

Glued panels Druga FoxyUnfortunately, for me personally Augvape Druga Foxy does not pull for the “best mod” of the year, although it had a lot of prerequisites for this. Firstly, of course, it is a beautiful appearance, especially in the black version, which fell into my hands. Steel with a chromed body is instantly covered with fingerprints and scratches, and in the Gun Metal version (as it says on the package) only glossy plastic panels and control buttons, which are almost always hidden, suffer from this. Secondly, it is simple control (sometimes even too simple) without a temperature control mode, everything here is at the level of five years ago, when varivolt and variwatt reigned on the market. Only their power was less and no one tried to vape porn and nails instead of 0.15-0.2 nichrome. I do not know where to attribute the patented technology of the manufacturer Quick Release, because its own viability and long-term impact on atomizers (or rather, their threads) can only be determined during long-term operation. Which, unfortunately, is not a threat in my case.
Atomizer Short on the Augvape Druga Foxy box modIn general, my communication with the device ended four days after receiving the parcel. Quite sad, considering that I did not even have time to test the device properly. After removing the atomizer again, the built-in ohmmeter showed a resistance of 26μΩ, and with the dripper installed, it refused to work and happily reported SHORT. The same thing happened with the rest of the atoms. Be that as it may, the network is also full of enthusiastic reviews and comments, even statements that the Augvape Druga Foxy mod is almost “the best”. I fully admit that it was just my “luck” and I just got a defective one. There is, however, a high probability that I got an early sample, because My parcel took almost two months to arrive due to the New Year holidays (it was sent back in November) and the manufacturer already knows about the problem and has solved it. But unfortunately, it will be the buyers, i.e. you, who will have to check it.
