Review of Blue Tongue Genesis Hybrid. History of Vaping

Today, dear readers, I will tell you about an interesting “hybrid” from distant Australia. It is called Blue Tongue Genesis Hybrid. The manufacturer is Blue Tongue Mods.

This device is interesting for several reasons. Firstly, it is a hybrid – a Genesis-type evaporator directly connected to the battery compartment. Secondly, the brass version of the device is included in the review. Thirdly, the evaporation chamber casing has a very interesting design…

The Blue Tongue Mods project was launched in 2013 in Melbourne (Australia). Its author is Nick Basham (Bash). The Blue Tongue Genesis Hybrid parts are manufactured in China.

The manufacturer offers two versions of its device: steel and brass. Judging by the description of the equipment on the website, in addition to a fixed-length pipe for an 18350 battery, the device comes with “telescopic” parts that allow you to use other batteries. buy advanced vape kits australia The brass sample that arrived for review does not have such details, so we are looking at the “short” version of the device (I will tell you something interesting about this at the end of the review).

Let’s get started!

Appearance of Blue Tongue Genesis Hybrid by Blue Tongue Mods

Let’s examine the device:

We saw a lower end switch with a “recessed” button. An air intake hole on the casing of the evaporation chamber. We also saw that in the place where the drip tip is installed, inside the brass casing, some kind of steel rim is noticeable…

There are engravings on the parts of the device. An image of a lizard on the battery compartment tube (blue tongue – this is what common lizards of the Tiliqua family are called in Australia). The serial number of the device (also on the battery compartment tube). And the manufacturer’s name on the casing of the evaporation chamber.

Unscrew the evaporation chamber casing (we will unscrew it, a thread is used to attach it, which is very pleasing):

Now let’s unscrew the evaporation chamber casing – it consists of internal and external parts:

The internal part of the evaporation chamber casing is steel. The evaporation chamber platform and fastening elements are also steel. Therefore, the evaporation chamber is quite “ecologically friendly”.

Connecting the evaporator to the battery compartment of the Blue Tongue Genesis Hybrid by Blue Tongue Mods

The evaporator is directly connected to the battery compartment pipe by thread.

It is also possible to adjust the density of the battery installation using the adjustable contact of the evaporator:

I liked this technical solution. There is only one remark: the threads of the parts do not match slightly. The “pin” rotates along the thread quite freely (even “dangles” when unscrewed sufficiently), and when the brass thread wears out, the contact can weaken.

The outer part of the casing is screwed to the inner part by thread:

When fully screwed, the airflow holes of the outer and inner parts coincide (the diameter of the hole of the inner part is 1.5 mm, the outer – 1.6 mm).

In this case, the airflow is most intense. If you unscrew the evaporation chamber casing, the distance between the holes will increase, which will slow down the air flow (the adjustment range is half a turn, after which the distance between the holes will decrease again).

Impressions and overall rating of the Blue Tongue Genesis Hybrid by Blue Tongue Mods

Firstly, the device is quite attractive in appearance. Brass gives it a special style. I never thought it could be so cute.

Secondly, with a capacity of 4 ml, the device is quite compact.

Thirdly, the original airflow control system and steel evaporation chamber. I liked all of this.

You need to get used to the “recessed” button. Change the switch spring. All of this can be done. It’s a pity that the airflow is located above the “tasty” level. But never mind, I will vape strong tobacco liquids on the Blue Tongue Genesis Hybrid that do not require a bright taste.

In general, the device gets a favorable rating. So I will follow the further activities of this manufacturer.

P.S.: yes, an interesting feature of the device is the compatibility of its threads with Just GG. So, with the help of “Greek” parts I was able to use the Blue Tongue Genesis Hybrid with batteries of other formats. For example, with 18490 (although the length of the adjustable contact of the evaporator connector was not enough and I had to use additional magnets):
