Review of Augvape Jewel Disposable Subohm Tank

Review of Augvape Jewel Disposable Subohm Tank

Recently, the famous Chinese manufacturer Augvape presented a kit of two of its new products, a box mod and a tank. Today’s review is dedicated, in my opinion, to a very interesting complete atomizer from the Augvape VX200 Kit – a disposable Jewel Subohm Tank.

Augvape VX200 Kit packaging

First, it is worth mentioning the kit itself, which came into my hands in one common package, consisting of a cardboard sleeve with an image of the box mod (for some reason red), the name of the kit and a huge warning about the dangers of nicotine with a competent postscript in the spirit of “if you fill it with nicotine-containing liquid”. In general, I believe that manufacturers should be obliged to write such a warning on everything from baby food bottles to railway tanks. After all, you can also pour liquid with harmful nicotine there. On the back of the drain, the complete set of the delivery is listed, various information icons are applied, and the manufacturer’s address on the Internet is indicated. Under the cover, the set fell apart into two separate boxes: one with the VX200 box mod (suspiciously light), the second with the Jewel Subohm Tank.

Augvape Jewel Disposable Subohm Tank packaging

On the front side of the atomizer packaging, in addition to the same warning about nicotine, in the upper right corner there is a mark 3 PCS (3 pieces), in the center under the name of the device there is a small modest note Disposable (disposable), just below the recommended power range of 50-70 W and the optimal Best Flavor At 65 Watt, and on the back side opposite the green rectangle with the inscription blue (!?) a small black circle is glued. buy beginner vape kits australia I find it difficult to say what the manufacturer meant, but there were three tanks inside, three different colors. There is also a sticker here to check the authenticity of your purchase (you can enter the verification code on any page of the Augvape website at the bottom right), but I am used to taking the manufacturer’s manager’s word that he is not sending me counterfeits.

All three atomizers are comfortably located in one polystyrene mold, which has a persistent aroma of burnt plastic, for which Augvape gets a legitimate dislike from me. Let’s hope that the manufacturer will start sealing its unserviceable products in sealed bags or blisters (UPD The manufacturer assured me that the packaging will be replaced.) There was nothing else in the box, and it is difficult to imagine what else might be needed for this kit.

Appearance of the Augvape VX200 KIT

I will tell you about the VX200 box mod in my next review, I will only mention that I got my hands on the Gun Metal mod, and of the three tanks, the black one seemed the most suitable for it.

Appearance and design of the Augvape Jewel Disposable Subohm Tank

Behind the slightly pretentious appearance of a faceted piece of precious stone plastic lies a simple and straightforward device. The Jewel Disposable Subohm Tank is a disposable clearomizer, which the industry delighted us with at the dawn of its formation, and in some places such things are still in use today. Of course, with an important amendment to the progress that has affected vaping over all these years: the tank is still subohm (0.15 Ohm) and with a winding on the mesh, giving a good flavor transfer and decent clouds of steam. But in essence, it is just an evaporator installed in a plastic case made of food polycarbonate. The device itself does not imply any kind of maintenance, much less replacement of the head or even disassembly. The meaning of such a solution is simple: as soon as you stop liking the taste of the steam produced by the atomizer, you, without much bother, simply throw away the worn-out Jewel Tank and take a new one. What is good about this? Ease of use, convenience and low cost, no need to buy another “TFV-MEGA-COBRA-PRINCE-LIMITED-RAINBOW-EDISH-WITH-STRANGE-TANK” and packs of expensive replacements for it, the price of a set of three ready-to-use plastic tanks is comparable in cost to many evaporators.

There are four design options for the Jewel Disposable Subohm Tank: transparent, red (more like pink), black, and blue (I would argue, turquoise). An important difference between the real devices and the manufacturer’s renders is that the airflow control ring is not actually black, but the same color as the body. As you can see from the previous photos, three of the four options fell into my hands. Judging by the mark on the box, you can order three pieces of the selected color, and not the multi-colored traffic light that I got in the review kit.

Impressions

Appearance of Jewel Subohm TankTo be honest, this is far from the first subohm tank on the market, there are already similar offers (just type disposable subohm tank into Google) from lesser-known manufacturers. Moreover, they are also on the grid. True, they are talking about devices with a top filling cap on the thread, while Augvape got away with a silicone plug. Which, by the way, does not raise the slightest questions when using. Well, Jewel has cheerful colors, and not only dull black and transparent, like competitors. But the meaning of all this variety is simple: buy a pack of tanks (usually 3 pieces), fill one, vape until you kill the winding, throw it away and take the next one, without bothering yourself with where to get replacement parts for your expensive Luxury Subohm Tank from a famous manufacturer. And for clumsy, sloppy users who wait longer for another glass from China than vape their tank (by the way, one such Jewel turns out to be priced like some flasks on TFV), it’s a must-have. Dropped it? Broke it? Forget it, it’s disposable. In short, the idea is simple, the implementation is excellent, and there are a lot of usage scenarios and advantages over the classic “tank + replaceable evaporators” options.

What can be noted after several days of using the Jewel Tank is a suspiciously good flavor transfer, even despite the initial “aroma” of the packaging, which was felt during the first couple of refills. There are certain complaints about the appearance, after all, the cheapness of the device is noticeable: there are small seams and joints on the body, but there is no flash sticking out in all directions, so the price/quality ratio here can be called excellent. During the time of use (about a dozen refills with Cloud Thieves and then Bam’s Cannoli liquids) and vaping at a power of 60 to 70 watts, the device never leaked, did not spit liquid, did not burn, and the taste only became better (honestly, the taste of polystyrene simply disappeared), so the assembly and implementation can be considered excellent. Even after studying the design under the camera lens, the tank did not lose its tightness. Here, in my opinion, the main thing is that the quality of production at Augvape remains at a high level and does not deteriorate with increasing demand. The taste transfer does not raise any questions, the aromas are revealed brightly, and sometimes too much, which makes you want to reduce the power a little to protect the receptors from the riot of some compositions.

The atomizer is available not only in a set with the VX200 box

mod; it can easily be purchased separately. The sweetest thing is the price for this pleasure.
