Review of Hellvape Fat Rabbit RTA

Many vapers probably remember the situation on the vape market about three or four years ago, when manufacturers weren’t mass-producing sub-mods and POD systems, but were engaged in serious development of tanks, drip sticks, mechs, and box mods. And every new product was a real sensation, especially if it had a non-standard design or a trick. Now the situation has become even more interesting: every new vape or vape chamber is not just waiting, but sitting on the platform, like Hachiko, waiting for a miracle. I would like to point out that not all manufacturers have succumbed to sublimation, and continue to please vapers with their developments. And one of these companies Hellvape, which decided to slightly revise released earlier tank Fat Rabbit (he somehow did not stick among vapers), and make his re-release, making it serviced and the original system of blowing.

General Info

The Hellvape Fat Rabbit RTA is a rather large atomizer designed for installation of two or one spirals, with the original system of side, bottom and combined blowing for maximum flavor. The new tank looks quite impressive, both in height and diameter, but this is due to its design features. Depending on the preference of the vaper, you can install two or one spirals, and the installation is simple and does not require any special skills. The peculiarity of the tank is that it has three blowing modes bottom, side and both at the same time, so Good flavor transfer is guaranteed. You can buy the Hellvape Fat Rabbit RTA in seven colors – Rainbow, Gold, Blue, SS, Gunmetal, Matte Full Black, Matte Black.

Kit

Hellvape could never be accused of not kitting their atomizers well, and the Fat Rabbit RTA is yet another proof of that. In the branded orange box the vaper will find:

Fat Rabbit RTA 5.5ml atomizer;

Replacement glass;

Two pre-wound 0.37ohm Ni80 Fused Clapton Coils;

Two strips of cotton;

Coil Cutting Tool (for trimming coil stems);

Slotted screwdriver;

Replacement screws;

Replacement O-rings;

User’s Manual.

General appearance and design

Hellvape became famous after they released one of the most popular vapers’ Dead Rabbit RDAs. Inspired by the success, the company’s developers released the tank of the same name, which also became no less popular than the drip. After that Fat Rabbit Sub Ohm Tank was released, intended to work with interchangeable vaporizers, which was not really liked by vapers because of the small amount of consumables, and the taste characteristics were hard to compete with the Dead Rabbit. Deciding to fix this unfortunate misunderstanding, the company decided to release a new (namely new, not updated) Fat Rabbit, which was presented under the proud name Hellvape Fat Rabbit RTA.

We would like to warn vapers who own small box mods Hellvape Fat Rabbit RTA is quite a big tank and will not look logical on all devices. The tank looks quite strict and laconic, and its only decoration is a small characteristic logo in the form of a fat rabbit head. The tank is made in diameter of 28 mm and has a height of 56.4 mm, so the rabbit is not only really thick, but also tall and heavy (it weighs 90 grams).

The Hellvape Fat Rabbit RTA is equipped with a glass, which makes it a 5.5 ml volume (not too bad). Rather interesting design solution is the drip-tip – it is not a standard 810th non-ringing, but a specially designed element inside which there are special grooves, thanks to which the drip-tip does not accumulate condensate.

Case, airflow and usage features

Hellavape tanks and vapes always used racks slightly elevated above the base for the most convenient trimming of the spirals legs. The Hellvape Fat Rabbit RTA uses a slightly different base design that is rackless and designed for vertical installation of two or one spirals with horizontal fixation. Installation of spirals as simple as possible enough to pre-cut with a complete Coil Cutting Tool legs spirals, then install them in large enough holes and fix with slotted screws.

The installation of the absorbent cotton will also not cause any problems in the base are provided with large wells for it. The most important thing is not to lay the wool too tightly, otherwise starvation will not be avoided.

The developers provided quick access to the spirals just turn the deck 90 degrees and pull the tank up.

The most interesting thing about the Hellvape Fat Rabbit RTA is the blowing, on which the developers of the company did a great job. The vaper can set the bottom blowing by turning the adjusting ring at the base of the tank, or the side blowing by turning the ring above, or use both types of blowing at the same time. Thanks to this design the vaper is guaranteed to get Excellent flavor and scent.

To fill the tank you rotate the top cap 90 degrees (bayonet style) and pour 5.5 ml of liquid through two big holes.

Conclusions and impressions

We can say for sure that Hellvape Fat Rabbit RTA is another worthy tank from Hellvape that will definitely appeal to vapers who use quite large box mods (small tanks would look illogical). The vaper who decides to buy Hellvape Fat Rabbit RTA will get a variability not only in the installation of spirals, but also in the blowing, so you can quickly find your Zen in vaping.
